Omar’s not the only one coming to Community: sitcom legend John Goodman is headed to Greendale Community College as well. As Vulture first reported last week, the NBC comedy is adding a new vice dean of its heretofore unexplored school of air conditioning repair. We can now reveal that Goodman, most recently seen on HBO’s Treme and DirectTV’s Damages, has signed on for the part and will appear in at least six episodes. As series creator Dan Harmon told us, “The Greendale Community College only has one part of it that is actually nationally renowned, and it’s their air conditioning repair program. And it’s sort of a separate annex on the campus that puts itself above the rest of the school, and ironically has more power than the campus itself.” So does this mean that Goodman will share some screen time with that other GCC dean, new series regular Jim Rash? Yup, says Harmon. “When I heard we were going after Goodman, I got really excited about the idea of Jim Rash and Goodman on camera together,” he says. We’re pretty psyched, too.
My Friend Describes Working On Set with Ryan Gosling
Ryan Gosling. I’m trying not to get too gay about this, but he is a very handsome man. It’s kind of absurd.
Day one and again this morning, from the top he rolls in with no shirt on carrying two kettlebells, and he’s all tatted up and grimy for the role. And he seems like he’s pretty much always posing for a photo. And when he’s not doing pushups or acting all sexy and secretly in emotional pain, he’s driving around on motorcycles.
So film sets are usually a reasonably good place to meet women, but I feel like I have nothing to offer around this fucking guy.
But he seems nice enough. Definitely a talented actor. Not afraid to get dirty and really engage with this white trash movie we’re making.
“Songs you listen to often on Spotify sit, encrypted, on your hard drive. The application looks first for these; if it doesn’t find them, it pulls down 15 seconds of the song from the closest server while it looks for copies of the rest of the song on the hard drives of other users near you. This is file sharing. It increases speed and lowers the demand on central servers by spreading it among several connections. Spotify and The Pirate Bay don’t just share a country; they share an operating system.”—
Some of the magic why Spotify is such a slick service.
